What type of documents can I create?
The STM8 mobile app can create Estimates, Proposals, Invoices and Change Orders. You can find sample documents using the search tool above.
Are the documents organized per-job?
Yes, every job has its own document management tool where documents are organized by category. From there you can also view and send the files.
Is it true the STM8 app does all the math automatically?
Yes. All math calculations are performed automatically, including sales tax if it has been enabled. All you need to do is enter the monetary values into line items on your estimates.
Can I customize the documents with my company branding?
Yes. The STM8 app allows you to upload a custom header image and also control the color of your documents.
How do I create my first estimate?
From the job details page, launch the Estimator tool. Add task and materials line items as needed. Tap the PDF icon in the top left corner of the page and choose 'Estimate' from the menu. A popup message will inform you when you create documents.
Can I use STM8 without an Internet connection?
Yes. STM8 is designed to work fully offline. You can create, edit, and save documents with no Internet connection. When your device reconnects, data capture will automatically change mode from keyboard back to voice.
How do Change Orders work?
Change Orders are generated much like other documents. Approved Change Orders are added to Invoices as line items. The bottom line of the invoice (Amount Due) is automatically adjusted to reflect whether the CO increased or decreased the original estimate.
Can I create documents using different currency symbols?
Yes, changing the symbol allows you to create documents for your own country. By default the currency symbol is the Dollar, but you can change the symbol to any of these:

Are my custom document settings safe?
Yes. The settings which control what is and is-not visible on a document are locked behind a PIN code. You can configure the settings and let your reps use the app without concern for them changing the display or shared information.
Is my data secure?
Yes. The STM8 app does not collect any data from the app user, or any info from the work you do. The only personal information shared by you will be with Apple or Google, depending on your device type used to setup the app subscription.
What happens when my free trial ends?
To continue using the SMT8 app after your free trial expires, you will need to start a subscription plan with Apple or Google depending on your device type.
